Hey John,

I found Andrew Fiore via Facebook and he sent me your blog link. So glad to see what you are up to in your own words instead of asking Mark and not getting all the details that we Moms want. Also I found Will via your blog and sent him a note too.

When I have time I will read more of your blog....interesting times for China.

I'm sure you know that Mark and Hanna are having a little boy due Thanksgiving day. They are so excited and so and am I. I'll be in Durham 3 weeks during Christmas to meet my grandson and to help Mark and Hanna in whatever way I can.

Please say hello to Katherine and all of your family.

Love,

Pat (Mark's Mom)

Thanks for the link back, John. People tell me I'm blocked in China, however. And not just because of the fact that I host through Blogger. Apparently moreperfectmarket.com itself is blocked. Sort of exciting, I have to admit. But also a bummer. Hopefully some people will sneak me in under the firewalls. Oh well.

Interesting... Wikipedia says that the "state flag" and the "flag of war" use the coat of arms, while the "civil flag" doesn't use the coat of arms.

Using a flag of war to direct traffic would probably be overkill...

Hi Jason!

Great to hear from you. I think you nailed both of them. Bolivia has a logo in the middle, but it looks like sometimes the logo isn't used. (http://images.google.com/images?q=bolivian+flag&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&resnum=1&ct=title)

I'll send you an email later to catch up on what you've been up to!

I'm going with Bolivia (maybe), and a bomb containment device (put the bomb inside and the explosion is contained inside).

Great inside info, keep it up.
